Brückenweg site, Visp

Completion of the Brückenweg site complex marked the final stage in the development of the area around Visp train station. After almost 15 years of development and construction, the station district manifested itself as Visp's sustainable new town center when the shops opened in August 2012 and tenants moved into the apartments a year later.
The complex on the Brückenweg site – the former marshaling yard of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn railway – offers some 5,000 m2 of modern retail space on the ground floor as well as 80 rented apartments in the two five-storey residential blocks. With semi-open floor plan topologies designed to provide a state-of-the-art living experience, the apartments set the benchmark for future housing construction in the Upper Valais region.
The Brückenweg complex is a pioneering example of collaboration between investors, project developers and planners.
