Moderate refurbishment: high-rise on Schafmattweg,
The high-rise building is a relic from the suburban housing expansion of the 1960s.
The design process involved an examination of the building to see where construction and architectural improvements could be made. To enhance living quality and comfort, the kitchen fittings and wet areas were modernized, the balconies partially glazed and the indoor parking lot renovated. A new landscaping concept was also implemented to increase the appeal of the surrounding green spaces.
The refurbishment was overseen by Gruner Ltd on the basis of a lead design contract. This gave the client a single point of contact for all project-related questions. Gruner Ltd also represented the client vis-à-vis third parties and oversaw compliance with the agreed quality standards, deadlines and investment cost limit.
