Fire emergency control tests

Prior to operational start-up, integral tests are performed on the fire emergency controls or so-called system interaction tests are conducted.

A more comprehensive option involves the performance of a full-scale test – known as an integrated system test – on building services systems. For existing buildings, the fire emergency controls are subject to recurrent checks or periodic tests.

Wherever possible, quality assurance is based on a pre-emptive approach and begins as early as the design and tendering phases. At Gruner, on-site quality assurance (random inspections and technical site supervision) is supported by state-of-the-art hardware and software. This is what led to our close involvement in the development of the THEMIS application by Austrian company GRID-IT.
