REWAG district heating system,
The Regionaler Wärmeverbund Heimberg-Steffisburg AG (REWAG) district heating system supplies some 800 households with sustainably sourced thermal energy for space heating and hot-water production. The carbon-free energy is generated by two waste wood-fired furnaces at REWAG's own district heating station. The plant also incor-porates an oil-fired furnace to cover peak loads. The connected households are served by an approx. 3 km long district heating network. The system has been in operation since the end of 2007 and is being constantly extended.
Services provided: Energy concept and lead design/general planning for HVAC, plumbing and electrical work.
