Wood-fired district heating system in Grindelwald
Added value for the glacier village
The successful application of new technologies in constructing an eco-friendly wood-fired district heating system necessitated interdisciplinary collaboration and in-depth experience.
In 2008, the promoter commissioned Gruner Roschi AG, on the basis of a general planning contract, to carry out the preliminary design for the project. This was performed in close collaboration with other specialists from the Gruner Group and various regional engineering practices. The ground-breaking ceremony for the CHF 17 million project marked the end of a design period lasting only two years.
