Shallow geothermal systems with ground coils and downhole heat exchangers have now become established energy solutions. Hydrothermal systems using hot deepwater from some 2,000-4,000 m below ground level also belong to the state of the art. In the role of general planner, Gruner is active in the con-struction of geothermal systems.
