Northern approach route
The purpose of the European Union's TEN (Trans-European Network) Project No. 1 is to create a high-speed rail route from Berlin to Palermo . The new rail line through the Lower Inn valley will relieve the heavily trafficked northern approach route to the Brenner base tunnel.
Safety and hazard engineering planning for the approx. 40 km northern approach (Kundl/Radfeld-Baumkirchen section) to the Brenner base tunnel, including the Terfens and Münster Tunnels (total length: 34.5 km), development of signage concept and tunnel safety documentation, provision of training and implementation of drills.
