Activities & Responsibilities

Gruner Stucky, to support the development and the growth of the Italian Department, is currently seeking a motivated Senior Draftsman to join the team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in drafting of embankment/concrete dams and hydropower plants. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both local and international projects and to make a significant impact in the field of civil engineering.

  • Develop and coordinate 2D/3D drafting throughout all project phases—from early design to construction—for dams and hydropower facilities.
  • Create detailed 3D models, extract 2D drawings, and update models in line with project changes and revisions.
  • Coordinate the drawing review process to ensure alignment with project requirements and technical standards.
  • Participate in technical design meetings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a technical interface with external suppliers, clients, and construction sites.

What makes you special

  • Surveyor Diploma ("Geometra") or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in drafting for dams and hydropower facilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk, Bentley); familiarity with BIM methodologies is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in developing CADD 3D models, including parametric modeling, data integration, and extraction of 2D deliverables.
  • Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory; French is considered an asset.
  • Strong flexibility, goal-oriented mindset, and a solid team spirit, especially in international and multidisciplinary environments.
