Gruner Privacy Policy
Thank you for visiting the website of Gruner Ltd and for your interest in our company and its construction engineering services. You can use our website to learn more about our company, to contact us and, among other things, to register for our newsletter.
With the spread of digitalization, the sensitive handling of personal data has become a key concern for all our users. Such concerns are treated very seriously by Gruner Ltd, which is why our company – specifically following the amendment of the EU's new General Data Protection Regulation as of May 25, 2018 – has taken all necessary steps to comply with locally, regionally and internationally effective data protection legislation.
The Gruner Ltd website will collect, process and protect your personal data in accordance with the provisions of this Policy and the applicable legal requirements. This Policy applies to personal data (as defined below) collected by Gruner Ltd via online resources and communication channels, such its website, e-mails and other online tools containing a link to this Policy. However, this Policy does not apply to personal data collected via offline resources and communication channels, except in those cases where such personal data are combined with personal data collected online by Gruner Ltd. Nor does this Policy apply to third-party online resources referenced by links on the Gruner Ltd website; Gruner Ltd has no control over the content or privacy practices of such third-party web offerings.
Gruner Ltd will only collect personal data about you if you actively provide these data. We will not disclose any personal data about you to third parties for their marketing purposes unless you have expressly given us your consent to do so. Please read this Data Privacy Policy to find out more about how we collect, use, pass on and protect information online.
How does Gruner Ltd collect information?
Gruner Ltd essentially collects personal data in two ways:
On the one hand, Gruner Ltd collects data which you, as visitor to and user of our website and offerings, actively and voluntarily disclose about yourself, i.e. in cases where such disclosure is your own free decision. It is, of course, also possible for you to visit our website without disclosing any personal data. In some cases, however, Gruner Ltd anonymizes the data disclosed by you and keeps these in aggregated, i.e. collated and amalgamated, form. These collated, anonymized data then enable Gruner Ltd to prepare statistics on visitor numbers and the use of its offerings, which help us to improve our services.
On the other hand, information disclosed by you is also collected automatically whenever you communicate with us via our websites as well as during e-mail exchanges between us. Automated procedures of this kind deployed by us may include logging by web servers, monitoring of IP addresses, or the use of cookies and web beacons.
Web beacons, cookies and other tracking methods do not themselves collect any personal information about you. Only when you actively disclose information that identifies you personally, e.g. by registering or sending e-mails, can these automatic processes be used to collect personal details relating to your use of the websites and/or interactive e-mails for the purpose of making these more user-friendly for you.
In some cases, the cookies used by our website remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your web browser on your next visit. Should you not want this, then you can configure your browser to alert you to the setting of cookies or to seek your consent in each individual case. We wish to point out that the functionality of the website may be impaired if cookies are deactivated.
Gruner Ltd uses the Piwik open-source solution to obtain information and statistics on the use of our website. This program stores and analyzes visitor flow and history data for our website without disclosing any information to third parties. These data are collected in anonymized form and the IP addresses of visitors are not analyzed by Gruner Ltd.
Your options regarding personal data

Some pages may request your permission to use information about you for certain purposes, in which case you can either give or refuse your consent.

Users of this function will likewise disclose personal data, which are accessed by only a small number of authorized employees and can be deleted at any time on request. These data are, however, automatically deleted at the latest six months after the end of the application process.
Should you wish to prevent the anonymous tracking of your use of our websites via cookies, then you can, as mentioned above, configure your browser to reject all cookies or to alert you whenever a cookie is to be set.
