Transport master plans and integrated transport concepts
The legal and political establishment of mobility and transport concepts and measures is essential to ensure planning certainty and effective implementation, as planning processes generally extend over long periods. As part of local planning revisions, we work within interdisciplinary teams on mobility and transport issues and develop transport master plans and integrated transport concepts for cities and municipalities.
Transport and mobility concepts for sites
The development of individual sites raises numerous questions regarding access and the organisation of mobility. Often working as part of an interdisciplinary team with architects, landscape architects and social-space specialists, we develop site-specific mobility concepts and transport assessments for both private developers and public-sector clients, tailored to the respective planning stage.
Our work includes calculating the required number of parking spaces, estimating motorised individual traffic, assessing sight distances, vehicle access and junction performance, as well as connections to public transport and optimal integration into pedestrian and cycle networks. We also assess the number, location and quality of cycle parking facilities, the potential for walking and cycling, and other areas of mobility management.
We attach great importance to a comprehensive and integrated approach that is both interdisciplinary and participatory and covers the entire process from planning through to use and operation.
