Mobility and transport planning

Transport planning and infrastructure

At Gruner, infrastructure projects are managed holistically across disciplines, from the initial concept through detailed planning and technical design to implementation, commissioning and subsequent operation. Experts from different disciplines work closely together to develop efficient, sustainable and tailored solutions to complex challenges.

Street design and planning

Streets are not only transport corridors but also important public spaces where people live and spend time. Through operational and urban design concepts and infrastructure planning, we create attractive, safe and accessible streets, junctions and public spaces, including station forecourts, bus stations and bus stops, taking the surrounding uses into account. Traffic calming and the introduction of 30 km/h zones, including all associated studies, are among our key areas of expertise.

Walking and cycling

Every journey includes at least one stage on foot. Cycling is also becoming increasingly important and is often the fastest mode of transport for short distances. Walking and cycling form the foundation of our mobility. We support you from concept development through to detailed planning.

Parking

The availability of parking has a significant influence on the choice of transport mode and is therefore an important factor in planning and managing future mobility.

We develop tailored car parking concepts and attractive cycle parking solutions for sites, railway stations and other facilities. We also analyse the use of existing parking spaces, including user groups, parking duration and frequency of use.

Traffic management during construction works

Construction work in public spaces frequently has to be carried out while maintaining traffic flows in busy and sensitive environments. We support the organisation of traffic during construction works and, in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders, develop diversion concepts and appropriate measures for all road users.
