400-kV SF6 Chamoson substation
Extension of the 400 kV substation
Following the construction of the 380 kV Verbois substation, Alpiq continued to expand its network by constructing 380 kV line THT Chamoson- Verbois.The Chamoson GIS substation was built in order to evacuate the energy generated by the Cleuson-Dixence hydroelectric power plant. The main features of this GIS substation are: 2 lines feeders (“Bickigen” added in 2008), one transformer feeder (transformers 600 MVA longitudinal and diagonal adjustment) 3 group unit feeders in insulated cable 380 kV, double busbar.
