Hazards map of the southern part of the Canton of Neuchâtel and Sagne valley
Stucky was mandated by the Canton of Neuchâtel to prepare hazards maps to show the risks associated with flooding and bank erosion in the southern part of the Canton of Neuchâtel (Boudry district) and the Sagne valley.
The hazard maps closely reflect the karst-typecharacteristics of the catchment basins that were studied. For example, the Grand Bied, which drains the Sagne valley, does not flow along the surface, but disappears into the Perte du Voisinage sinkhole.
Depending on needs, the intensity maps are based on a unidimensional or bidimensional model that either reflects the watercourse alone or integrates the bed load.
