German railroad lines on Swiss territory

On the basis of the state treaties between the Grand Duchy of Baden and the Swiss Confederation of 1852 ff, DB AG operates railroad lines on Swiss territory. DB Netz AG manages operations on the lines in compliance with Swiss sovereign rights.



Safety engineering support for the German railroad lines on Swiss territory in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Schaffhausen and Thurgau, preparation of a safety management system for the entire route network, preparation of fire protection concepts for station buildings and other high-rise structures, preparation of summary reports and risk analyses in accordance with the Major Accidents Ordinance, preparation of operational plans and execution of emergency exercises.
