Innovator of the Year Award: When structure gives wings

What happens when good ideas meet a strong framework? They grow. That’s exactly what we experience every year at the Innovator of the Year Award – and Wolfgang Hardt, CEO of Burckhardt Architekten, brings an external perspective as a juror that makes this process particularly valuable.

“Being part of the jury for the second time, I was once again impressed by the professionalism and depth of the entire process,” says Hardt. What convinced him most: the pitch sessions. Not as a mere evaluation setting, but as a genuine exchange – a space where ideas are refined and tested for their potential. “They create a framework that not only makes innovation visible, but actively fosters it.”

Diversity that shows who we are

From digital solutions and sustainable concepts to strategic approaches: the range of submitted ideas impressed Hardt. “It clearly shows how broadly innovation is embedded at Gruner. It was a pleasure to accompany this process once again.”

Shaping together what defines Gruner

For Gruner, the award is more than just a distinction. It makes visible what we achieve together – and reminds us that every idea counts when it is shared and further developed. That is exactly what drives us forward as a company.

Fire Safety Revision: Greater Flexibility, Greater Responsibility

From autumn 2027, fire safety regulations are set to be applied in a more risk-based and consistent manner across Switzerland. This will give construction projects greater scope for proportionate solutions – but will also place higher demands on risk assessment and documentation. Experts discussed what this means in practice at this year’s Gruner Fire Safety Forum.
