FHNW Award Ceremony - Gruner Innovation Award 2021
On Friday, October 1, the institute and course directors of the School of Architecture, Civil and Geomatic Engineering FHNW graduated their former students. The Gruner Innovation Award, endowed with CHF 500, is presented annually to graduates of the Institute of Civil Engineering at the FHNW.The award is given to the most innovative bachelor thesis.

This year's winner is Mr. Robin Dergeloo with his very good bachelor thesis: "Comparative investigations on prestressed concrete beams for the new construction of a pharmacological production building". The Innovation Award was presented by Georg Rudlin, Senior Preoject Manager and Team Leader Structural Design of Gruner AG, at the graduation ceremony.

Bridge installed over the A2 in just 30 minutes
Gruner was responsible for the design and construction management of the new pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Härkingen in the fields of bridge engineering, road construction and civil engineering. For the bridge lift, the A2 motorway was closed for just 30 minutes – a glimpse into a demanding night-time operation.
