«HKBB Connects Women» Visits Gruner

How do we continue to develop the Basel region – and who is shaping it? This question defined the fifth edition of “HKBB Connects Women,” the networking event of the Chamber of Commerce Basel Region (HKBB), held exclusively for women. Around 80 women from business and politics met last Thursday at CityGate Basel to network and exchange perspectives on the spaces we live in.

Under the title «Transformation Areas: How Do We Create Future-Ready Spaces for Living and Business?», engaged experts discussed opportunities, challenges, and responsibilities in urban and spatial planning – a highly topical debate about the future of the Basel region.

On the panel:

  • Judith Rütsche, Head of Infrastructure & Spatial Planning, Deputy Site Manager, Gruner Zollikofen
  • Béatrice Gollong, Head of Portfolio & Transactions, Member of the Executive Board, HIAG Immobilien Schweiz AG
  • Daniela Plozza, Site Manager, Marti AG
  • Nicole Wirz Schneider, Owner, raumplan wirz gmbh

The evening was moderated by Elisabeth Schneider-Schneiter, Member of the National Council and President of the Chamber of Commerce Basel Region. As host, Monica Schneider, Head of HR at Gruner, warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of female role models and networks in the construction and planning industry. With Future Women and the Grunerinnen network, Gruner actively promotes this exchange.

Female Perspectives Bring Fresh Impulses for New Solutions

As a planning and engineering company, Gruner helps to shape sustainable living environments. These spaces thrive where living, working, and the economy grow in balance. Leading women from planning, construction, and politics discussed how female expertise is helping shape the development of our living spaces today. Different perspectives – especially those of women – bring fresh impulses to a sector that thrives on cooperation and innovative solutions. This was one of the central conclusions of the evening. Diverse perspectives, strong voices, and committed women – that’s how future-ready ideas emerge.
