Milestone passed on the Golovnaya hydropower rehabilitation project

The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, honoured us with a visit to the Golovnaya hydropower plant following the complete rehabilitation of the five 45-49 MW generating units.

The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, honoured us with a visit to the Golovnaya hydropower plant following the complete rehabilitation of the five 45-49 MW generating units.

The project involved the rehabilitation, modernization and upgrade of the power plant which included the full replacement of units 1,2,3,5 and 6 of the Golovnaya hydropower scheme and upgrade of the energy transfer equipment from the power plant. The rehabilitation project is due to be completed in february 2024.

Gruner would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who are and were involved in this rehabilitation project, especially Pierre Herriot, Malkhaz Oragvelidze, and Dr Thierry Jacob for supervising the tests of the last N°1 unit!

Four business units and new regional management in Western Switzerland

Gruner is adapting its organizational structure in western Switzerland and will form two new business units in the Infrastructure division on 1 January 2026. This move reflects the strong growth in French-speaking Switzerland. With four business units in French-speaking Switzerland in future, Gruner will be even closer to its customers, giving the geotechnical, water and environment business areas greater visibility and thus ensuring long-term development.
