New leadership for Gruner’s business in Serbia

Mirko Gvozdenović is appointed as the new Head of the Business Unit Energy, Building and Infrastructure Serbia. His nomination is part of our international development plan and he will lead the continued development of Gruner’s business in Serbia.

A new chapter for Gruner in Serbia: as of 1 September 2026, Mirko Gvozdenović takes over as Head of the Business Unit Energy, Building & Infrastructure Serbia. Based in Belgrade, he will work closely with the teams in Belgrade and Novi Sad to drive the unit’s strategic and operational development and support Gruner’s continued growth in Serbia and across the Balkans.

“Mirko brings strong technical and leadership experience and knows our business and industry well. Together with the teams in Belgrade and Novi Sad, he is well positioned to take our activities in Serbia forward,” says Sergio Camilletti, Head of Business Area, Energy.

Mirko Gvozdenović: Engineering and hydropower expertise for Gruner in Serbia

Mirko Gvozdenovic holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc.MED) and worked for Gruner in Belgrade from 2013 to 2023, contributing to and managing several hydropower projects.

Mirko succeeds Cane Cekerevac, who will focus on his role as Head of the Business Unit Energy Eastern Europe & Central Asia. Cane Cekerevac has played a key role in developing Gruner Balkans from the early stages over many years. Together with the team in Serbia, he helped developing the original hydropower office into a broader resource hub for Gruner – laying important foundations for today’s Gruner Business Units in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

“Cane and the entire Balkans team have made a major contribution to Gruner’s positioning and development in the region. I would like to sincerely thank Cane and all Balkans team members, past and present for their commitment and dedication over many years, adds Sergio.”

We wish Mirko and the team in Belgrade and Novi Sad every success in this next chapter.
