Opening Herweg Bridge

The Gruner Business Unit Infrastructure Zurich, Brugg designed and planned the recently officially inaugurated Herweg bridge as part of the Limmattalbahn project.

At the beginning of the week, the new pedestrian and bicycle bridge Herweg over the A4 was officially opened. At the inauguration, the mayor of Urdorf, Sandra Rottensteiner, and the mayor of Dietikon, Roger Bachmann, cut a ribbon in the middle of the bridge. The 50 meter long Herweg bridge replaces the footpath on the Bernstrasse overpass, as this area is needed for the route of the Limmattalbahn. It connects the new Herweg stop in Urdorf with Bernstrasse on the opposite side of the freeway. The bridge was completed on time and successfully according to planning.
