Comprehensive renovation with extension, Raiffeisenbank Löwenstrasse 7, Lucerne

Conversion, structural assessment and reinforcement measures

The residential and office building at Löwenstrasse 7 in Lucerne is undergoing a comprehensive renovation and extension between 2022 and 2025. The aim is to modernise the structure, create additional usable space and bring the building’s safety up to current standards.

As part of the conversion, a new staircase and a new lift were integrated into the basement and ground floors, significantly improving accessibility. A structural assessment was carried out to verify the additional loads from the extension, followed by structural measures required by the conversion. An additional seismic assessment with reinforcement measures ensures the long-term safety and stability of the building.

Gruner was involved early in the project through the feasibility study and the competition phase, and continues to accompany the project through planning and execution in phases 2–5. This comprehensive renovation and extension sustainably modernises the Raiffeisenbank Lucerne at Löwenstrasse 7 and adapts it to today’s requirements.
