Kaltbach Administration and Security Centre, Schwyz
On the Kaltbach area in Schwyz, a new administration and security centre will be built in harmony with the existing buildings and will provide space for around 430 workplaces for the cantonal administration, a police operations centre and the main station of the Schwyz cantonal police, the bases of the Schwyz fire brigade and the Schwyz rescue services, as well as a production kitchen.
The building serves as the operations centre and is classified in building class III. Despite the continuous load-bearing structure, the inner columns on the ground floor above the assembly hall and the operations centre have to be supported by a supporting structure of approx. 16m. The vibration requirements are met with an absorber system.
