Components from deconstruction projects now live in the Gruner ReUse eShop

With Gruner ReUse, components from existing buildings are digitally recorded and made visible online even before dismantling begins. Numerous elements from the Roche project have now been published in the eShop – and can be reserved directly.

Digital inventorying makes ReUse plannable

Reuse instead of disposal: With ReUse, Gruner puts the principles of the circular economy in construction into practice. The GIS-based inventory and documentation tool makes it possible to record building components from existing structures in a georeferenced manner, digitally document them, and make them available for new projects – even before dismantling takes place.

Each recorded element is classified based on the element-based building cost plan for structural engineering (eBKP-H) and complies with the requirements of DIN SPEC 91484:2023-09, the guideline for digital deconstruction and the reuse of building components. The collected data automatically generates a database containing all relevant properties, supplemented with data sheets for planning and tendering. This makes the reuse of building components plannable and verifiable for the first time.

Components now available: Roche project

The components from the Roche project are now available in the Gruner ReUse eShop. After dismantling, Bauteilbörse Basel will handle storage and resale via useagain.ch.

Gruner therefore offers the entire value chain of circular construction – from inventorying and dismantling to interim storage and reuse in new buildings. This creates new opportunities for sustainable planning without losing sight of economic efficiency.
