Gruner Sustainability Report 2023

Gruner grew by over seven per cent last year and slightly increased its workforce. Nevertheless, CO2 emissions and electricity consumption were reduced. Gruner will continue to do everything in its power to optimise processes, develop innovative solutions and make a positive contribution to the environment and society.

Gruner's annual Sustainability Report provides insight into the company's activities and progress in the areas of environmental, social and governance (ESG). It was developed from the detailed internal management report and was published for the first time last year.

Some highlights from the report:

  • Reduction in CO2 emissions by 14% compared to the previous year
  • Reduction in electricity consumption by 12.3%
  • Increase in holiday days for all employees in Switzerland
  • Introduction of new initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion
  • Implementation of a new whistleblower platform to strengthen corporate ethics

"As a leading engineering and planning company, we see it as our responsibility to continue to lead by example," says Olivier Aebi, CEO of Gruner. The measures in the areas of environment, social affairs and governance will continue to be expanded in the future. "This report is not only a testimony to our successes to date, but also a clear commitment to our ongoing endeavours," explains Olivier Aebi.
