Landstrasse development Möhlin, AG
In the village center of Möhlin give way to two single-family houses for two residential and commercial buildings. These include 160 m2 of commercial space as well as 5 condominiums and 4 rental apartments. The common parking garage, which is on a slope and accommodates 19 parking spaces, provides direct access to all buildings. House A has a height offset in the basement and is characterized by its gable roof. House B impresses with its attic apartment and wooden facade, which is chosen in reference to the adjacent buildings. The challenge of the day-work planning was the economical load transfer from house B to the car parking garage as well as a most economical distribution of the earth loads from the surroundings. Another challenge was slope stabilization in the as-built condition facing the street.
