Automatic monitoring of the Enge railway tunnel (SBB)
Load changes and vibrations caused by repair work on Zurich's Seestrasse pose a potential risk to the Enge tunnel, which the road passes directly above for a stretch of approx. 200 m. The objective of the tunnel monitoring program is to continually observe the behavior of the tunnel during the almost two-year construction period. Measures to protect the tunnel are triggered under a system of graded thresholds.
- Recording vibrations at two measuring sections
- Recording spatial shifting at four measuring sections
- Automatic evaluation and posting of all measurement data on a password-protected website
