Fire protection of the Elbphilharmonie building in Hamburg

Warm smoke tests

The new Elbe Philharmonic Hall in Hamburg is one of the architectural beacon projects of the metropolis in northern Germany. The fire protection experts at Gruner AG used the patented test facility on behalf of Hochtief Hamburg GmbH to test the performance of the smoke extraction system.

In the presence of numerous spectators (fire brigade, specialist planners, project managers and other people involved in the construction), the functionality of the system was tested in the large hall with heated theater fog.
