On the Electrolux site in Aarau, a new administration building with approx. 13,000 m2 rental space and an apartment building for 50 apartments including a parking garage with 187 parking spaces is being constructed. The planning was carried out under strict regulations regarding security and confidentiality. Even in the final state, very high levels of safety were required and implemented with building class 3 and a surrounding impact wall. Securing the building against uplift in case of flooding and the high aesthetic requirements (exposed concrete) increase the planning challenges. Great attention is also paid to reverence, as the building is constructed in accordance with the greenproperty Gold certification of the building owner (CSA Real Estate Switzerland) (Minergie-P standard including eco exclusion criteria).
