Health Center of the Future: The New Felix Platter Hospital in Basel
The new Felix Platter Hospital was planned and built on the site of the old Felix Platter Hospital on Burgfelderstrasse in Basel from 2013 to 2018.
With the new building, healthcare for the elderly in the region was expanded. The building has a total of 307 beds.
In the new hospital building, all areas and units of inpatient and outpatient geriatric medicine are now united under one roof. As a result, new services – such as round-the-clock patient admission, a private ward and outpatient medical services provided by partners – can also be offered.
